Open-Source Licenses
Last updated: November 6, 2026
The MacSuite apps are built with a small number of open-source components, all under permissive licenses. We are grateful to their authors. Each component is used under its own license; the MacSuite license agreement does not change those terms.
| Component | License | Used by |
|---|---|---|
| KeyboardShortcuts | MIT | Pixfinch, Bytepliers, Gizmojar |
| SwiftTerm | MIT | Codelasso |
| swift-argument-parser | Apache-2.0 | Codelasso (through SwiftTerm) |
| swift-png | Apache-2.0 | Codelasso (through SwiftTerm) |
| SwiftNIO (swift-nio) | Apache-2.0 | Mailloft |
| SwiftNIO SSL (swift-nio-ssl)Includes BoringSSL, which carries its own notices (OpenSSL / ISC-style licenses). | Apache-2.0 | Mailloft |
Transitive dependencies
Some of these packages depend on further Apple open-source packages (for example swift-atomics, swift-collections and swift-system, all Apache-2.0). The exact set is pinned in each app's resolved package list at release time.
Full license texts
The full license text and copyright notice of every component will ship inside each app, under About ▸ Licenses, once that screen is added. Until then, the texts are available in each upstream repository linked above.

This website uses Geist and Geist Mono (SIL Open Font License 1.1) and EB Garamond (SIL Open Font License 1.1), bundled with the site. The MacSuite logo and app icons are original artwork.
